» David Sewell » Ann Ayre
David Sewell, a registered patent attorney, practiced law as a patent litigator with the prominent IP firm of Fish & Richardson and later as a divisional IP counsel for Schlumberger Perforating and Completions. David was the Senior Managing Director of the Houston office of a major national legal recruiting firm prior to co-founding PTO Legal Search.
David speaks the patent lexicon, and his advice and input have been welcomed at all levels with IP professionals, and those who need to understand IP legal issues. Throughout his experience as a legal recruiter, David has successfully placed candidates at Fortune 100 companies as well as top law firms nationwide.
David is a 1987 Merit graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD, and a 1995 Honors graduate of The George Washington University Law School. David was bombardier/navigator in A-6 intruders and had over 250 carrier landings in his career. He is also a veteran of Desert Storm, and is currently a Commander in the United States Naval Reserve.
David also serves as an elected member on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC) and speaks annually at the NALSC Conference educating attendees about IP recruiting trends.
